I write about the parts of being a person that are hard to say plainly — guilt, the fear of being left, the cost of giving yourself away in pieces, and the stubborn business of paying attention anyway.

Most of it starts as something I am trying to work out rather than something I have already understood. I have never been good at tidying that up afterwards, so it stays a little unfinished on purpose.

The essays are ongoing. The poems collected here were written between 2020 and 2024.
